All change, learning, and behavior is unconscious, and so hypnosis is a great tool to assist with getting a specific outcome you want in the areas of

Hypnosis is a natural state where you feel increasing levels of relaxation. If you have an active imagination and can follow instructions, you can go into trance (a deep state of relaxation). All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and you are always in complete control during a session.

Sessions start with an interview to create your personalized suggestions to include in your hypnosis script. You will receive a recording so you can listen to the script again at your convenience as frequently as you wish.

Through conversation, mindset work, and hypnotherapy, you will eliminate your symptoms of anxiety, feel lighter, breathe easier, and discover what you REALLY want in your life. (Keep in mind, it may be something that is not even in your conscious awareness!)

What is hypnosis? (And what it's not)

Hypnosis IS an awake state and a state of different levels of relaxation. It IS using your imagination. Hypnosis IS getting into rapport with your unconscious mind and IS an ultimate display of control. 

Hypnosis is defined as the accepting of selective thinking, thoughts, concepts and ideas that is OK by you and consistent with your values. It is altering beliefs or reality through suggestion.  


Hypnosis is NOT a state of unconsciousness or sleep. It is NOT being gullible or weak-minded. You are NOT controlled by anyone else and there is NO loss of self control when you are in trance. 

What is the unconscious mind?

You can think of it like an iceberg. The tip of the iceberg represents the conscious mind, and everything below the water's surface represents the unconscious mind (UM). 


Your UM is out of your awareness. It's the part of you that you are not aware of at the moment, but is critical in making sure you are doing everything you need to do to stay alive (amongst other things). 

Unlike the conscious mind, the UM is unlimited, feeling, intuitive, responsible for involuntary movements, and it knows solutions to problems we cannot solve consciously.  

What can I expect during a hypnosis session?

During a session in person, on zoom, or listening to a personalized recording, don't expect to feel hypnotized. Trance is a natural, normal state and so no matter how deep into trance you go, it will likely feel familiar to you. You can expect to feel relaxed. Again, hypnosis is a natural state where you will feel different levels of relaxation. At every level you will hear everything being said to you. Throughout the session you are always in control. You will only accept the suggestions that are given that are consistent with your own internal values.

Are you going to make me bark like a dog? (or do the hokey pokey, or sing a song, etc)

Throughout the entire session, you are always in control. You will only do the things in hypnosis that YOU want to do. It is important to remember that you are responsible for your own motivation and participation.

How do I know this will work for me?

Hypnosis is a process of active imagination and following instructions. That means two things are required: 1. you have to have an imagination and 2. it has to be active. As long as you actively imagine what we are doing, and you follow the instructions, everything will be just fine!
